Acceptance of Terms

By using the services provided by Metro TV & Appliance, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all customers, including those seeking warranty service, out-of-warranty repairs, and audio equipment service.

Service Description

Metro TV & Appliance provides factory-authorized repair services for appliances, televisions, and audio equipment. Our services include:

  • Warranty Service: Factory-authorized warranty repairs for covered appliances and televisions when dispatched by the manufacturer
  • Out-of-Warranty Service: Professional repair services for appliances and televisions no longer under manufacturer warranty
  • Audio Equipment Service: Repair and maintenance services for audio and sound equipment
  • Diagnostic Services: Professional evaluation and diagnosis of equipment issues

Service Limitations

Our ability to provide service is subject to certain limitations:

  • Warranty Service Dispatch: For warranty service on appliances and televisions, you must first contact the manufacturer and request Metro TV & Appliance as your service provider. The manufacturer will then dispatch us to provide service.
  • Parts Availability: Repairs may be delayed by parts availability from manufacturers or suppliers. We will make reasonable efforts to obtain parts in a timely manner.
  • Service Area: We primarily serve Lincoln, Omaha, and surrounding Nebraska communities. Service outside this area may be subject to additional charges or availability.
  • Equipment Age: Very old equipment may have limited parts availability or may be deemed beyond economical repair.
  • Manufacturer Terms: Warranty service is subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions, which may vary by brand and product.

Pricing and Payment

Our pricing structure varies based on the type of service:

  • Warranty Service: Covered under manufacturer warranty. You may be responsible for service fees if the issue is determined to be outside warranty coverage.
  • Diagnostic Fees: Out-of-warranty service may include a diagnostic fee to evaluate the problem and provide a repair quote.
  • Repair Quotes: We will provide you with a quote for out-of-warranty repairs before proceeding with the work. You are not obligated to proceed with repairs after receiving a quote.
  • Payment Methods: We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
  • Parts Pricing: Parts prices are subject to change based on manufacturer pricing and availability.

Warranty on Repairs

We stand behind the quality of our work:

  • Manufacturer Warranty: Warranty repairs are covered under the manufacturer's warranty terms. Parts and labor provided under warranty service are warranted by the manufacturer.
  • Out-of-Warranty Repairs: We provide a limited warranty on parts and labor for out-of-warranty repairs. The specific warranty period will be disclosed at the time of service.
  • Warranty Limitations: Our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, unauthorized repairs, or normal wear and tear.
  • Warranty Claims: To make a warranty claim on our work, you must contact us promptly when an issue arises.

Limitation of Liability

We provide professional repair services using industry-standard practices and genuine parts. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing defects, manufacturer design flaws, or problems unrelated to the specific repair performed. Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for consequential damages, including but not limited to food spoilage, loss of use, or inconvenience.

Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your equipment and the problem
  • Follow manufacturer warranty procedures when requesting warranty service
  • Provide safe access to the equipment requiring service
  • Make timely payment for services rendered
  • Follow any care and maintenance instructions provided by our technicians

Appointment Cancellation

If you need to cancel or reschedule a service appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. We understand that circumstances change, and we will work with you to find a convenient time. Repeated last-minute cancellations may affect our ability to schedule future service.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
